You are not the attorney, you’re the witness.
We’ve Made It Too Complicated
Some of us think sharing the gospel requires a theology degree.
Others feel paralyzed by fear of saying the wrong thing.
So instead of sharing our faith, we stay quiet.
But here’s the truth,
You don’t have to explain everything about God, you just need to talk about what He’s done.
You don’t need to win the argument. You just need to share the good news.
You’re a Witness, Not a Prosecutor
Jesus never said, “Go into all the world and win debates.”
He said, “Go and make disciples.”
That starts with simply being a witness. A witness testifies. They say, “Here’s what I saw. Here’s what I know. Here’s what changed my life.”
So if someone asks you about your faith, you don’t need to preach, you just need to say:
- “Jesus changed my life.”
- “I’ve found peace I never had before.”
- “I used to live for myself, now I live for something greater.”
It’s simple. It’s real. And it’s powerful.
The Gospel Is Clear and Good
The word “gospel” means good news. Not confusing news. Not condemning news.
So let’s stop overcomplicating it.
Here’s a simple way to share the gospel clearly:
1.
God created us to be with Him
We were made for relationship with God.
2.
Our sin separates us from God
No matter how good we try to be, we fall short.
3.
Jesus came to fix what we broke
He lived the perfect life we couldn’t live and died the death we deserved.
4.
He rose again so we could have new life
It’s not about religion, it’s about relationship.
5.
When we put our faith in Him, everything changes
Eternal life starts now and continues forever.
That’s the gospel. That’s the message that changes lives.
You’re Not Alone
The Holy Spirit is your greatest partner in evangelism.
You don’t have to say it perfectly. Just speak boldly and let God do the work in someone’s heart.
“No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit.” —1 Corinthians 12:3
Your job is to plant the seed. God makes it grow.
Key Takeaways
- You don’t need to be a theologian to share the gospel
- Focus on clarity, not complexity
- Be a witness, not an expert
- The Holy Spirit does the heavy lifting—just speak
Final Encouragement
Don’t let fear keep you silent.
God has placed people in your life who need hope, truth, and freedom.
So speak up. Share the good news.
And trust that God will use your words—even the imperfect ones—to change someone’s eternity.
