Stop Delaying and Start Obeying God
Obedience can’t wait. Learn why delayed obedience keeps you from experiencing God’s best.
February 11, 2026 | Spiritual Growth
Delayed obedience is disobedience.
One of the most common traps in our faith is delay. We say yes to God, but only after everything else is in place. We tell Him “first let me” instead of “yes Lord.”
Delayed obedience feels responsible, but it often keeps us stuck.
“Delayed obedience is disobedience.”
Excuses Keep Us Stuck
Many of us believe our reasons for waiting are legitimate. We’ll follow God after the season changes, after life settles down, or after we feel more ready.
But if Jesus is truly Lord, He doesn’t get what’s left over. He gets first place.
You Can’t Move Forward While Looking Back
Growth requires focus. When we keep returning to old influences, old voices, and old habits, we struggle to move into what God is calling us toward.
Real change happens when we stop looking backward and trust God’s plan over our past.
Final Encouragement
This is your moment to stop waiting and start walking in obedience. Not when everything feels perfect. Not when it’s easy. Now.
Put your hand to the plow, fix your eyes on Jesus, and move forward with confidence.
